Nifty closes above 10,100

MUMBAI: In the domestic markets, the business has been witnessed within a limited time frame today. However, during the last half an hour, shopping was returning to the market. The Sensex has gained 0.2 percent, while the Nifty has gained about 0.5 percent. BSE’s 30-share index Sensex closed at a level of 32,575, with a gain of 0.2 points or 0.2 percent. NSE’s 50-share index Nifty closed 37.5 points, or 0.4 percent, at 10,115 level.

Mid-cap stocks have seen good shopping, but there is a slowdown in smallcap stocks. BSE’s mid-cap index closed nearly 0.5 percent higher. BSE’s smallcap index closed with a slight decline of 0.1 percent.

Good buying has been seen in auto, IT, metal, pharma and oil and gas stocks. Nifty’s auto index rose 1.5 percent, IT index by 0.5 percent, metal index nearly 1 percent, and pharma index rose by 0.5 percent. BSE’s oil and gas index closed 0.4 percent higher.

However, pressure has been seen in PSU Bank, FMCG, Capital Goods, Consumer Durables and Power shares. The Nifty’s PSU bank index has declined about 1.5 percent. The BSE Capital Goods Index has gained 0.4 per cent and the Consumer Durables Index has a negative 0.75 per cent.

In today’s business, Eicher Motors, Tech Mahindra, Indiabulls Housing, BPCL, Hindalco, Hero Moto, Maruti Suzuki, Wipro, Mahindra and Mahindra and HUL have climbed up to 4.7-1.7 per cent. However, the shares of Bank of Baroda, Lupine, ONGC, Asian Paints, SBI and Kotak Mahindra Bank were closed down by 1.5-0.7 per cent in the giants.
In the mid-cap stocks, Page Industries, MRPL, Petronetal LNG and Exide have climbed 4.1-2.8 per cent. In smallcap stocks, NCL Industries, Chennai Petro, Ramkrishna Forge, Nelkast and Navin Fluorine have climbed up to 7.8 to 6 per cent.
